My research centers on understanding the dynamic connections between earth surface processes, landscape evolution, geology, biodiversity, and climate change, with a particular focus on mountain ranges. I use a range of methods, including numerical modeling, geochronology, fieldwork, digital topographic analysis, GIS, and remote sensing. The key questions driving my work are:
- What external and autogenic factors shape mountain ranges across different spatial and temporal scales?
- How are biodiversity patterns linked to and influenced by landscape evolution?
- What are the implications of landscape changes for society and natural hazards?
