Overview
UMDI’s Instructional Design and eLearning services create engaging, innovative, and effective multimodal learning experiences. We bring our expertise in accessible design and adult learning theory to each project, collaborating with clients to strike the perfect blend of technology and design—allowing their content to make the biggest impact with their intended audience.
Our Range of Services
UMDI manages projects of all sizes, typically encompassing more than one of the following skillsets, often partnering with clients over many years as their needs evolve.
Continuing Education Accreditation Support
Because of our comprehensive approach, all UMDI’s eLearning projects are developed with accreditation in mind so that our clients will always have the option to pursue Continuing Education Units (CEU) if desired. In addition, UMDI provides a range of other supports, including interfacing directly with accrediting agencies, managing the approval process of CEs, and providing registration services and post-event attendance lists.
Featured Project: eLearning Design for the Department of Mental Health
Over the course of their decade-long partnership, UMDI worked with the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health Children’s Behavioral Health Knowledge Center to create a multi-session interactive online course called School of Hard Talks to teach parents about strategies to have better, more productive conversations with teens and young adults.
Featured Project: Video Production for Department of Public Health
UMDI collaborated with the Massachusetts Department of Public Health’s Division for Children and Youth with Special Health Needs on a series of short videos to introduce their new Care Coordination, Assistance, Training, Education & Resource (CCATER) Center. These videos were deployed on the CCATER website, in emails, and across social media platforms.
Featured Project: Multimodal Learning Event Management for Department of Developmental Services
A client since 2005, the Department of Developmental Services engages UMDI to manage their annual virtual training series called Service Coordinator Institute. Our team provides registration, presenter support, materials development, virtual meeting management, and continuing education unit (CEU) documentation support for up to 50 virtual training events per year.
