Black History Month Guest Lecturer - Dr. Anthony C. Hood
Dr. Anthony C. Hood serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Officer for First Horizon Bank. In this role, he provides strategic leadership and executive oversight for the corporation’s enterprisewide DEI strategy. He also serves on the corporation’s Operating Committee.
He previously served as the Director of Civic Innovation in the Office of the President at UAB as well as an Tenured Associate Professor of Management in the Collat School of Business at UAB.

In commemoration of Black History Month at Isenberg, Dr. Hood will give an hour-long lecture to discuss his career journey and how uplifting and supporting our marginalized communities can inspire and reflect on where we are now, and where we aspire to be in the future.

Sponsored by DEIB, Dr. Hood will participate in a community dialogue on Business and Entrepreneurship with all members of the Isenberg community. Registration will be required for up to 25 attendees. This forum will host discussions on challenges, opportunities, and potential solutions related to starting and growing businesses, aiming to foster collaboration, share knowledge, and encourage new entrepreneurial ventures by openly exchanging perspectives and ideas with diverse stakeholders.
