BLACK AF (Artistic Freedom) Conference 2024

Join the first ever BLACK AF (Artistic Freedom) CONFERENCE 2024 taking place at the UMass Amherst College of Education on Saturday, February 24th, 2024 from 9am-4pm. This conference is open to ALL students, educators, artists and community organizers/activists who are interested in the history, practice, and recognition of Black Artivism. This conference will be a representation, exploration, and celebration of all things Black, Artistic and engaged in Social Justice. There will be music, workshops, panel discussions, live performances, and a keynote speaker. Breakfast, lunch, snacks, and refreshments will be served.

The three tracks of this conference to engage in are:

  • The Artist Track
  • The Educator Track
  • The Activist Track

FREE & OPEN TO ALL
You do NOT have to identify as Black to attend. You do not have to be strictly UMass affiliated to attend. We are inviting all community members, students across all colleges/universities, alum, educators, high school students and visitors to the area.
