YOU BUY, WE GIVE!

The holiday season is around the corner, and many of us are lured away from thoughts about quality time with family and friends by a season of sales. Retailers offer huge discounts, and our email accounts are flooded with deals and promotions. 

Our team will not participate in the hype and unsustainable commercialism of holiday sales that strain resources and devastates our planet. Instead, like last holiday season, we will use our YOU BUY, WE GIVE campaign to donate shares of our DVD sales to an organization important to us. This year, we will donate to the Oleksandr Dovzhenko National Centre in Kyiv, an archive of national and international significance that has been underfunded and unable to protect its unique archive or continue operations since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Here is how YOU BUY, WE GIVE works: Through the end of 2022, we will donate $5.00 for every DVD purchase made on our website to the Dovzhenko National Centre. In addition, three members of our team—Skyler Arndt-Briggs, Mariana Ivanova and Hiltrud Schulz—will personally match every sales donation, so the Dovzhenko Centre will get $20 for every DVD sold. Help save the Dovzhenko Center!
