21 Restored Films: Now on DCP
As efforts to restore classic DEFA films are in full swing at the DEFA Foundation in Berlin, our collection of restored titles on DCP is keeping up with the newest movie theater technology!
You may have noticed that many movie theaters are moving away from screening 35mm celluloid prints and transitioning to a new technology. A Digital Cinema Package (DCP) is a collection of digital files used to store and convey digital cinema, audio, image and data streams. Unlike DVDs, DCPs are capable of conveying crisp, high-definition images on even the largest screens.
