Mühl, Christa

Biography:
Christa Mühl studied directing at the Academy for Film and Television in Potsdam-Babelsberg from 1968-1973. She joined the East German Television Company as a director’s assistant in 1973; there she worked with Thomas Langhoff and others. A director from 1977 to 1990, she created films based on works by Bertolt Brecht, Theodor Fontane, and Anna Seghers, as well as crime films. Since 1991, Mühl has worked as a freelance director and scriptwriter, mainly focusing on directing TV series.
