Synopsis

Günter and Gudrun Piesold are very busy with their careers as a TV comedian and an actress, so Grandma takes care of household chores and childcare. But when Grandma remarries, the Piesolds are faced with chaos at home and a burning question: Who will take care of the household?

The couple advertise for domestic help and are surprised when Erwin Graffunda, a handsome, intelligent and charming young man, applies for the position. He quickly sets the household in order - and sets the neighborhood ablaze with gossip. No one is sure why he is really there, and even Günter begins to wonder if his wife may be having an affair.

The mystery turns out to have a surprising conclusion: Graffunda is doing practical research for his dissertation about the emancipation of women!

Based on the story "Graffunda räumt auf" by Renate Holland-Moritz.
