In 1974 the Solomonic dynasty led by emperor Haile Selassie was overthrown by a Soviet-backed military junta, which established the communist People's Democratic Republic of Ethiopia. This documentary, created in collaboration with the Ethiopian Ministry of Culture and Sport, presents the junta as a revolutionary force and reports optimistically about the progress Ethopia has made over seven years. It features a cooperative founded in Iteya and teachers introducing a literacy campaign.
