Synopsis
Two soldiers in the Second World War stare out at us from a photo: one of them is crying in despair, the other is standing proud and tall and wearing a medal. They are boys – child soldiers – and their photos appeared all over the world as synonyms for Hitler's "last reserves." This film tells the story of what happened to these fifteen-year-olds, one from the East and one from the West, after they survived the war.
