Synopsis
Ric (Jutta Hoffmann), a working-class girl and Klaus (Jaecki Schwarz), a college student, spend their vacation together in Krakow, Poland. On the way there, a friendly Pole gives the young couple the key to his flat.
Using this as a base, the two of them go out exploring, gradually becoming aware of their very different reactions to their surroundings and the history of the Polish countryside. Soon the pair sees their love for one another in a different light. When a misunderstanding causes Ric’s tragic death, Klaus is driven to realize the enormity of his loss.
