Synopsis
Luis Corvalán, the Secretary-General of the Chilean Communist Party, who lived in the Soviet Union from 1976 until 1990, visited East Germany in early 1977. The documentary, commissioned by the GDR Ministry of Foreign Affairs, shows his meetings leading officials of the East German Communist Party, ordinary East Germans and Chilean immigrants. During these talks, he emphasizes the ongoing importance of the support offered by the International Solidarity Movement.
