Synopsis
This short documentary features impressions from the wedding of two young Chileans, Alejandra and Pepe. Both study in East Germany and plan to work in Angola, Mozambique or Cuba after graduating. During the wedding celebration, guests remember friends and family whom they had to leave behind in Chile. Alejandra recalls the interrogations, detention and torture in the prison camp Tres Álamos she endured under the Pinochet dictatorship. One of the wedding guests is former Chilean president Michelle Bachelet, who moved from Australian exile to East Germany in the mid-1970s.
The film is also available with Spanish subtitles.
