Synopsis
Sitting on the 7 o’clock train to Berlin on February 21, 1920, Bertolt Brecht writes the poem “Erinnerungen an die Marie A.” (“Reminiscence of Marie A.”). Director Kurt Tetzlaff interviews the almost 80-year-old Marie Rose Aman (1901-1988), one of the loves of Brecht’s youth, who inspired the poem. Aman movingly remembers her time with the young Brecht. The film includes a musical interpretation of the poem by the legendary singer and Berliner Ensemble actor Ernst Busch.
