Synopsis
East German education encompassed a variety of facets, including social, vocational, and artistic development, as exemplified in three short documentary segments.
1. Christel Marx, an experienced German teacher at a polytechnical school, works hard to educate responsible socialist citizens.
2. Polytechnic instruction in cooperation with the Iron and Smelting Works in Thale serves as an example of integrating vocational and academic studies.
3. Students at a school in Greifswald meet in groups to develop their artistic and musical abilities.
