In the sequel to A Lively Christmas Eve, Walter Lörke (Erwin Geschonneck) is looking forward to a quiet Christmas at home this year until his daughter calls to tell him his seventeen-year-old granddaughter Twini (Andrea Lüdke) has disappeared. The mystery is soon resolved when Twini shows up, announces she is pregnant, and asks to stay with her grandparents while she sorts things out.
These events remind Lörke of the chaotic Christmas almost twenty years ago when his daughter unexpectedly announced that she was expecting Twini. He calls a family council for Christmas Eve, and everyone shows up – including King, who is in love with Twini, and Klucke, who Twini loves but who doesn't want their child.
