Two young couples and a young woman whose husband is in the army describe their views on married life and their plans for the future as couples. They all have different expectations about the roles they will play in society. One young woman plans to enjoy her freedom without children and another is excited for the birth of her first child and plans to have two more while also starting her university studies.

Without providing easy answers or passing judgement, director Roland Steiner's careful and thoughtful questions allow the interviewees to express their own beliefs. The third installment in the Jugend-Zeit documentary series.
