Synopsis

Born to Jewish parents, author Erich Fried (1921-1988) left Vienna in 1938 and settled in London. In this film Fried, who was always politically engaged, reflects on very personal experiences and discusses philosophical questions of concern to humankind. It also documents Fried, one of the most important poets of the 20th century, reading his own works.
