This short film, made on the occasion of the 450th anniversary of the Reformation, presents the historical event in relation to the class struggle, in keeping with the East German view of history. Martin Luther's role is explored through historical documents, buildings and artifacts, as well as the writings and artistic works of his contemporaries.
