Synopsis
This documentary about renowned (East) German poet, playwright, and theater direct Bertold Brecht discusses the importance of his works in the social and political context of post-war Germany. The film highlights his artistic and theoretical contributions to German theater and incorporates passage from some of his works, including Mother Courage, Galileo Galilei and The Resistable Rise of Arturo Ui. Finally, the message of Brecht's works is related to a protest against West German rearmament.
