  • I am worried that my student is navigating a challenging time. Is there someone that can help?

    • If you feel that this is a medical or mental health emergency, please contact UMass Police at (413) 545-2121. 

    • If this requires assistance directly from our office, please submit a Student Support Referral so that we can connect with the student to discuss resources and support. 

  • I have questions about my student’s residential situation and am worried that this is impacting their ability to focus on school.

    • For questions related to housing assignments, billing and assignment change Inquiries please contact Residential Life Services at (413) 545-2100.

  • I have questions about my student’s bills.

  • My student is struggling academically and is having a hard time finding support. Who can they contact?

    • Please encourage your student to reach out to their advisor and/or academic advising office. You can determine who to contact based on the student’s primary major. Please reference the academic advising centers by major webpage.

  • We have had a family emergency and my student needs to take some time away from school. What should we do?

    • If possible, please have your student contact their faculty members directly to notify them of this absence. If this is not possible, please feel free to submit a Student Support Referral so that our office can provide assistance.

  • My student is considering a University Withdrawal. Is there someone they can speak with?
