University Hearing Boards are comprised of students, faculty and staff who are trained in the UMass Amherst Code of Student Conduct processes and tasked with hearing student conduct cases. Qualifications for Membership
Students
- Be an enrolled undergraduate or graduate student in good academic standing
- Complete all required training sessions
- Maintain confidentiality in regard to ALL information related to hearings
Faculty and Staff
- Complete all required training sessions
- Availability to serve in one or more of the hearing times
- Maintain confidentiality in regard to ALL information related to hearings
All Board Members must be able to:
- Serve in one or more of the typically scheduled hearing times: Wednesdays – Fridays 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.; 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Participate in required training
