Student Leaders in Violence Prevention Training

We invite emerging & current student leaders in the sexual violence prevention movement to join us to learn about trauma-informed education, effective approaches to end violence, & best practices in prevention. This training will provide participants with the opportunity to apply their learning by developing intentional & coordinated programs for sexual assault prevention.


COST: Free

Who should attend? Student leaders who:

● organize events, campaigns, activities and/or address policy and cultural change related to sexual and relationship violence and/or

● belong to organizations that address sexual violence, relationship violence, and stalking such as CERC, CEPA, VOX, SASA, ΣΨΖ etc. from any of the 5-colleges and/or

● have an understanding of rape, interpersonal violence, stalking, & related topics. 

Training topics will Include:

·Maximizing effectiveness while minimizing harm

·Applying principles of trauma-informed education & outreach 

·Developing goals, values, and reaching intended outcomes 

·Evaluating effectiveness of violence prevention strategies

·Preparing for disclosures during prevention activities

·Understanding relevant laws and polices

Accepted applicants will be notified in early February. Space is limited. Applicants are encouraged to provide thoughtful and complete responses to all questions.

Student leaders who complete the training series will receive a certificate of completion, a shirt, and invitations to participate in additional collaborations, events, and trainings.
