I joined the CTL in Summer 2022, and I’m looking forward to working with faculty on a variety of teaching and learning topics. I’m excited to get to know more about faculty through individual consultations, our MAP (Midsemester Assessment Process) program, and around campus.  I work on the Flexible Learning Fellows program as well as co-manage the Distinguished Teaching Award competition.

I earned my MS and PhD in Geography at The Pennsylvania State University, where I worked as a graduate instructional consultant supporting graduate students, postdocs, and faculty with classroom management, course design, and reflective writing on teaching. Most recently, I was a postdoctoral researcher at Boston University.

I have taught large introductory courses in human geography and geographic information systems, as well as upper-level courses about people and the environment.  My background motivates my interests in STEM pedagogy, teaching large introductory courses, research-based collaborations with students, and graduate student development.

I have published in Geoforum, Connections, and the Journal of Urban Technology. I currently have a paper under review on the role of teaching professional development in graduate student professionalization—more to share here soon!
