Umass Cranberry Station

100th Anniversary Endowment

In 2010, the Cranberry Station proudly celebrated its centennial. The milestone was marked at the Cape Cod Cranberry Growers’ Association summer meeting in August. Challenged by the goal of making cranberry production sustainable as environmental concerns and the sprawl of urbanization increase, we will continue our programs in water, nutrient, and pest management as well as begin integrated studies on water conservation, water quality, and lower risk pest-control agents. Field diagnosis and research is essential to our work, and we want to ensure that we will always have the resources to solve problems on the bogs and in the lab.

Help us honor the advances of our predecessors—scientists and growers alike—and support the Station’s research and outreach over the next 100 years. Please make a contribution toward the endowment of essential field research and diagnostic services. Gifts will help us to purchase, outfit, and maintain a suitable vehicle for on-site problem solving as well as provide annual interest income to cover the costs associated with such work. Use the pledge form at the link below to contribute to the Cranberry Station 100 Years endowment. Thank you for your support.
