Printer-friendly versionPrinter-friendly version

The Mathematics and Statistics department, in accordance with UMass Amherst, promotes the integrity and security of its courses.

To further secure its courses, the department will require one (or more) proctored exams during the midterm and final exam periods.

Students who enroll in affected online courses will have to take a proctored in-person midterm and/or final exam on campus on the scheduled exam date(s), OR with an approved proctor on the scheduled exam date(s).

All outside proctors must be approved by the instructor and math department no later than the last day of add/drop for the course. If you require an outside proctor, you must take your exam with an accredited testing center.

Affected Online Courses

  • Math 011, 104 127, 128, and Stat 240 (final only)
  • Math 132, 233, and 331 (midterm and final)
