Trans Care Team

The Trans Care Team is a group of transgender, gender non-conforming and cisgender mental health clinicians at CCPH who meet monthly to discuss ways to support the mental health and wellness of transgender and gender non-conforming students. We engage in on-going reading, debriefing about current events, trans history and culture. 

We focus on these areas:

• Interrogating ourselves and address our clinical practices to recognize transphobia, racism, and other systems of oppression rooted in white supremacy.
• Increasing personal and professional accountability to limit harm.
• Identifying, address, and question policies, practices, and social norms at CCPH, the UMass campus, nationally and beyond that negatively impact the lives and safety of trans and gender non-conforming students.
• Engaging in peer clinical consultation and supervision.
