Clinical Interest: My clinical interests include working with people that had traumatic experiences, people that struggle with emotional dysregulation, self-harm behavior, depression and anxiety. In particular, I am specializing in evidence-based treatment for people with Severe Mental Illness and crisis interventions, such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Good Psychiatric Management and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. As the recipient of the American Psychological Association Minority Fellowship, granted by SAMHSA and the APA Minority Fellowship Program. I have a life commitment to work with racial and ethnic marginalized population, integrating a humanistic multicultural approach in psychotherapy.

Education: I’m currently earning a PhD in Clinical Psychology at Albizu University, Puerto Rico. I have a M.S. in Clinical Psychology, Albizu University, Puerto Rico, GA 2015 and, I earned a BA in Psychology, Sacred Heart University, Puerto Rico, GA 2012.

Professional Experience: I was a Clinical Evaluator at a  NIMH funded Clinical Trial for Latinx with PTSD. I am one the authors of the first research report about the experiences of LGBTQ students in Puerto Rico school, funded by GLSEN and I was recently a member of the advisory committee of the first national report about the experiences of LGBTQ Latinx students in schools, funded by GLSEN.

More about me: I am 1st generation Puerto Rican student with a big heart and a passion for service. I love to cook and to have meaningful conversations. I enjoy music, books and nature. I value my family, my friends and the gift of being alive and present.
