Clinical Interests: My clinical interests include working with multicultural issues, interpersonal process/conflicts, emotional regulation, mindfulness, crisis intervention and self-harm behaviors, and family and group psychotherapy. I am interested in working with different psychotherapy approaches including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems, Brief Psychodynamic approach; Mindfulness-based Psychotherapy and Solution Focus Brief Therapy.
Education: Post-Doctoral experience in Multicultural Psychology in Behavioral Health Network (BHN) 2017; Psy.D in Clinical Psychology in Ponce Health Sciences University 2014; M.A. in Clinical Psychology in Ponce Health Sciences University 2011; B.A. Mental Health Psychology in University of Puerto Rico, Ponce Campus 2009.
Professional Experience: Most of my professional experience has been working in community settings with multicultural population in Puerto Rico. I worked as an outpatient clinician at BHN City Clinic in Holyoke from 2015-2017, where I offered psychotherapy to children, adolescents and adults with diversity of psychopathology and psychosocial factors. I received training under the dialectical behavior therapy model and worked with population presenting difficulties with emotion regulation and/or Borderline Personality Disorder, which is my area of interest. I have experience in psychological assessment with students and adults.
Certifications/Licenses: Licensed Psychologist and Health Service Provider, Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

More about: I am a Latina from Puerto Rico who is in love with Western Massachusetts, but who misses the beach every day. I have a great passion for my profession and firmly believe that we all have the capacity to transform our “problems” into experiences of life, growth and wisdom.
