Sierra Vaughan-Oakley, LICSW
Psychiatric Social Worker

About
Clinical Interests: My interest is in connecting with people in a collaborative, empowering, and authentic way. I have a deep interest in supporting young adults and adults navigating a huge range of concerns which includes (but is not limited to): complex trauma, anxiety, depression, exploration of substance use, addiction (self/others), identity exploration, transitions, as well as experiences around power and oppression.
My clinical lens primarily uses a psychodynamic frame that integrates relational, attachment, mindfulness, and social justice approaches. I believe in the importance of creating room for discussion around the impact of larger systems and how this connects with more individual therapeutic work.
Education: MSW from Smith School for Social Work; BA Hampshire College.
Professional Experience: Psychotherapy with individuals, families, and groups. Past work experiences include inpatient addiction rehabilitation, inpatient residential treatment, neurofeedback therapy, and college counselling.
Certifications/Licenses: Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW)
