What Our Students Say

Morgan Ramondetta, Comparative Literature and Linguistics, class of 2022

Morgan Ramondetta '22

I came to UMass Amherst knowing I wanted a career in translation, while also being interested in both linguistics and literature. So I began taking courses from both the Linguistics and Comparative Literature program, where I was introduced to the major and its different paths—one of which is the related disciplines track, where I study Comparative Literature, along with two languages, and, in my case, Linguistics. This track is allowing me to pursue all of my academic interests, and has put me on any easy path to obtain my goal of completing a primary major in Comparative Literature, a secondary major in Linguistics, and the Translation and Interpreting Studies Certificate. And I am so grateful for all of the support and kindness the professors in Comparative Literature have constantly given me.
