Our faculty have expertise in research and teaching in literary studies (colonial, post-colonial, medieval and modern, the global south, and eastern and western traditions), graphic novels, film and digital media, and translation and interpreting studies.

The Program in Comparative Literature sponsors numerous talks and other events across the university, bringing scholars engaged in exciting new research to campus for public events. A naturally interdisciplinary program, we frequently partner with English, History, Judaic and Near Eastern Studies, French, Spanish, and other language programs, as well as Five College programs, to support cutting-edge work in the humanities.
