Associate Vice Chancellor for University Relations
Nancy Buffone is associate vice chancellor for university relations at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. A native Long Islander, Nancy began her UMass career in 1995 in the Provost’s Office where, over time, she expanded her role and responsibilities to become director of communications and special initiatives.
Jen moved to the Pioneer Valley at age 17 to attend Hampshire College. She briefly left the area to complete her master's in education at Harvard Graduate School of Education, but her heart was in the Valley. She moved back upon completing her degree and has lived here ever since.
Jen worked as a co-owner of Collective Copies and then SageFox Consulting Group as an educational evaluator of National Science Foundation and National Institute of Health programs focused on increasing diversity in research-active institutions. She then worked as a business consultant and as vice president of

A New Jersey native, Tony Maroulis started his career in arts administration in the mid-90s, working in various positions at the Metropolitan Museum of Art before moving to Amherst, MA with his family in 2002. He had stints with the Emily Dickinson Museum, Museums10, and as co-founder and director of wünderarts, a commercial art gallery for contemporary and conceptual art in Amherst.
