This year at the SBS Senior Celebration (aka SBS Graduation), each major will have a pre-taped student speaker whose speech will be posted online and shown on the big screen as people settle in for the ceremony.
We know our major is full of excellent writers and speakers, so please consider applying to be our representative! This opportunity is open to all 2024 graduates. Here are the details:
- What: Submit a written 2-minute speech that you feel represents the major well and shares a clear message to your fellow graduates, their families, and guests. You can see last year's ceremony here to get a sense of what the speeches are like (last year all speeches were live; keep in mind yours will be on tape).
- When: By Friday, March 8th.
- How: Submit a draft of the speech (it doesn't have to be perfect, there will be time to revise!) as a Word or PDF file to @email by March 8th.
We will notify the chosen student by Tuesday March 19th
