Stay connected!

When you became a UMass Amherst Communication alum, you left the university not only with a desirable degree but also with rich new ways of connecting to the world.

Here, you developed an understanding of culture, society, and social interaction that will always inform your work and your life. You developed strong analytic and problem-solving abilities, good human relations skills, and confidence in your ability to learn and grow in new work situations. And you became a valued part of the Comm community.

We hope, then, that you want to stay connected to us—to continue the give and take. We’re trying to make it easy with this website. Use its newsletters and directory to network with your peers. Donate when you can. And do let us know, through the alumni survey, what you’re doing with the education you received here.

Invest in your alma mater and in the value of your degree

The world-class education you received at the UMass Amherst Department of Communication is a part of your life for the rest of your life. We trust that you value the education itself, but consider too that the taller the department stands in the public eye, the greater the value of your degree. Your gift today, no matter the size, will help us remain a vibrant, respected center of intellectual productivity and interdisciplinary teaching and research. It’s contributions from you and your peers that let us, among other things, offer scholarships and host visits by internationally renowned scholars.

If you have contributed in the past, thank you again. If not, please consider doing so now. Help us continue our tradition of excellence.
