Welcome to UMass and the Department of Communication!

Your first step as a new student is to register for and participate in New Student Orientation & Transitions (NSOT) and start regularly checking your UMass email. You will then be able to schedule an advising appointment and enroll in courses.

Please watch our video for new students here.

We encourage you to review all of the links and information on the undergraduate sections of this website as part of your orientation to studying Communication here at UMass.
