Bio

Michelle Ciccone is a PhD student and a 2022 Fellow with the Center for Advancing Research Impact in Society (ARIS). Previously she was a K-12 technology integration specialist, and she continues to build media literacy and critical digital citizenship curriculum for middle and high school grades. Michelle is the co-organizer of the 2023 and 2020 Northeast Media Literacy Conferences, is affiliated with the Media Education Lab at the University of Rhode Island, was formerly a research assistant at the Berkman Klein Center for Internet & Society at Harvard University, and in 2019 was awarded 3rd place in AEJMC’s Best Practices in Teaching Media Literacy competition.
