Bio

Gopa Biswas Caesar is a first year Communication Ph.D. student at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She holds a double M.A. in Global Communication with an emphasis in Film Studies from Simon Fraser University and Communication University of China. She also holds Masters degrees in English Literature, and Television and Film Studies. She has done her Bachelor of Arts (Hons.) in English Literature. Her work is currently focused on questions of the media's role in shaping public memory.
