Brendan McCauley is a lecturer teaching Film and Media Studies, Screen Cultures, Rhetoric and Performance, and Digital Video/TV Studio Production. His research explores the impacts of emerging digital technologies on cultural production practices and production communities. Recent work can be found in Flow Journal, Critical Stages, and The Velvet Light Trap.
Brendan's forthcoming documentary, “Scramble & Scrounge”, addresses the long-term effects of covid-19 lockdowns on performance venues and arts organizations in Western Massachusetts, and as a curator and gallery director he has overseen more than 100 exhibitions, performances, and film events across New England.
