Bio

Bonnie is a Ph.D. student with research interests in East Asian popular culture, fan studies, feminist studies and digital cultures in approaches of critical cultural studies and ethnography. She looks into fan engagement in politics and nationalism in digital spaces, K-Pop industry and its transnational promotion, subcultures and gender issues on Chinese social media.
