Aydin Kaya Jiayi Kurdak

Kaya is a first year Communications PhD student. He obtained his Master’s from New York University’s program in Experimental Humanities and Social Engagement, where he studied covers of the 1960 novelty song “Ya Mustapha,” and received his Bachelor’s in Anthropology and International Studies from the University of Michigan. He is currently interested in the formation of political fandoms on Youtube, as well as the development and spread of misinformation and conspiracy theories online.
