Bio

Alkim is a doctoral candidate whose research interests lie at the intersection of global digital media, platforms, and creator culture. Her recent research combines digital ethnography and discourse analysis to understand emerging gender and labor subjectivities within platform capitalism and platformized cultural production. Drawing upon her film studies background, she is also engaged in interdisciplinary research that brings together film studies and digital media studies.
