Award-Winning UMass Dining at the UMass Amherst Dining Commons, within walking distance of the Commencement!
Enjoy a breakfast, lunch or dinner in our all-you-care-to-eat Dining Commons (Berkshire Dining Commons, Hampshire Dining CommonsWorcester Dining Commons). Families of graduating students on UMass meal plan may join their student for complimentary meals. Other students, families, faculty, and staff may dine at the Commons at the rate of $8.50 for breakfast, $11.50 for lunch, and $14.50 for dinner (which features healthy and sustainable global cuisine, showcasing local and regional ingredients). The menu includes regional comfort foods, including sushi, a carving station, sustainable seafood, and delicious UMass Bakeshop desserts.

Rates:
Saturday/Sunday guest/faculty/staff: $8.50 for breakfast, $11.50 for lunch, and $14.50 for dinner.

The Blue Wall Cafe at the Campus Center is open on Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., and on Saturday/Sunday from 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Come see what all the campus buzz is about and enjoy a restaurant-quality meal from one of our many stations, including fresh sushi, made to order salads, house roasted lunch meats, hand tossed fresh pizza, or a grass fed beef burger with local cheddar. Don't forget to indulge a bit and enjoy our gelato bar, delicious house made pastries, and cakes! The People’s Organic Coffee Shop on the concourse and Harvest Fresh Market both open at 8 a.m. and serve coffee, breakfast, and fresh baked organic and all natural treats. 

Graduation Celebration Buffet 

Graduates, families and friends are invited to join us for a celebratory dinner buffet beginning at 7 p.m. on Friday, May 8, hosted by Auxiliary Enterprises. The dinner will be held in the Marriott Center, located on the 11th floor of the UMass Campus Center. With beautiful views overlooking the campus and a delicious meal prepared by UMass Catering, our dinner buffet is the perfect way to celebrate the many achievements of your graduating student. 

Tickets are $34.99 per person and reservations are required (please note - space is limited; early reservations are strongly encouraged and walk-ins are not accepted).

Stadium Food Court

A food court will be open before and after Commencement, at the Stadium. Snacks and light meals, including a fresh grill selection, salads, fruit, desserts, and beverages, will be sold at the Stadium Food Court, at the north end of the stadium. Some snacks and beverages will also be sold in the stands before the ceremony begins. 

University Club

The University Club, featuring hearty, traditional New England fare, will be open on Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for lunch and at 6 p.m. for dinner buffet as well as on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. (for lunch). Enjoy fine dining in the oldest house in Amherst, where an atmosphere steeped in colonial elegance and a knowledgeable, attentive staff assures a memorable experience. For reservations, please call 413-545-2551. This year on Sunday we will also be seating guests from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for a special Mother’s Day meal.
