Sabin Reed 453 (413) 585-3879lmangiamele@smith.eduMangiamele LabDetailsResearch I am an integrative neurobiologist interested in social communication. My research uses behavioral, physiological, molecular, and neuroanatomical techniques to investigate the mechanisms of communication behavior in frogs and fish. In particular, I study how sensory systems integrate communication signals to guide adaptive behaviors, such as mating behaviors, and how those sensory processes are modified by hormones. I am also interested in comparative neurobiology and evolution of the brain.
