The Racial Justice Coalition Presents: Survival is the Least of My Desires: An Evening of Resistance with Leah Lakshmi Piepzna-Samarasinha

Raised in Worcester, Massachusetts, Leah Lakshmi Piepzna-Samarasinha is a mixed-race, queer, disabled, nonbinary femme writer and performer. Her award-winning and critically acclaimed books of memoir and poetry include Dirty River: A Queer Femme of Color Dreaming Her Way Home, Love Cake, and Consensual Genocide. She is also the co-author of The Revolution Starts at Home: Confronting Intimate Violence in Activist Communities.
Leah will be addressing how we can work toward building solidarity in our communities.

The evening will also feature performances by:
Nathalie Amazan (UMass Student), Nathalie Irmer (UMass Student and member of the Northampton Poetry Team), Ro Sigle (UMass Graduate Student) and Jasmin Roberts (Women of the World Poetry Slam Finalist).
