The YKCC  organized an event to showcase art created by Jerome Tiunayan. His more recent work focuses on Filipino familial relations and ingrained sexual repression. Jerome will talk about his work. I Additionally here is his website featuring his work. https://www.jerometiunayan.com/

Additionally art created by students from the Five Colleges will also be exhibited as follows:

  • UMass Amherst: Jessica Chien, Nuri On, Sam Wong, Laila Mai-Nguyen, David Ke, Costin Thampikutty
  • Amherst College: Gloria Koh, Jennifer Lee
  • Mount Holyoke College: Sasha Braverman

The design of this  exhibit is  interactive. Artists will arrive at  5:00 PM to set up their pieces around the space. There will be stations for pieces of work that are murals,sculptures, paintings, and photographs. We will be projecting some art on the wall created by Jerome. There will be a station (laptop with headphones to view short films created by 5-College college students, as well as a notebook for people to jot down thoughts in response to viewing them. Once the event starts background  music will be playing as people meet and greet one another at the space. The artists will be present to interact with people visiting the space. During the second hour, we will have Jerome present a talk about his work to the audience.
