1. Outreach Assistant - Needed for summer 2024

Supervisor:  Doris Clemmons, PhD

CMASS seeks summer undergraduate outreach assistant(s) to work with the Associate Director for Institutional Diversity in support of recruitment activities and information dissemination. Assistants will provide accurate information about CMASS programs, services, and resources and uphold the mission and vision of CMASS. This position offers opportunities to practice public speaking and interpersonal skills.

10 hrs/week – $15/hr

2. Office Assistant
SupervisorKimberley Hickie

The Office Assistant will work with the Office Manager to provide satisfactory customer service, and assist with daily operations of the front office and computer lab.  This position provides opportunity to apply interpersonal and problem solving skills and gain knowledge of office procedures.

This position will be eligible for intent to return each semester upon review of academic standing, professional performance evaluation and funding availability. Work-study is preferred but not needed to apply.  Hours range from 8-10 hrs/weekly.

3. Cultural Center Programming Assistant
Supervisor: Michelle Youngblood

The Cultural Center Programming Assistant works under the supervision of the Program Coordinator, with dotted lines to the Associate Director for Student Development and Director of CMASS to design and facilitate culturally enriching programs, assist with daily operations, and network with faculty, staff, students, and community leaders while promoting and upholding the dignity and reputation of the cultural centers. This position offers opportunities to apply knowledge of cultural wealth and gain practical experience in project management, event production and evaluation.

This position will be eligible for intent to return each semester upon review of academic standing, professional performance evaluation, and funding availability. Multimedia Journalist

The Multimedia Journalist works under the supervision of the Assistant Director for Administration, Publicity and Marketing to present our dynamic and engaging programs, services and community to a culturally diverse audience.  This position offers the opportunity to apply academic knowledge/theory of communication, journalism and/or marketing. Reappointment is dependent on department need, satisfactory performance evaluation, academic standing and funding availability.  10 hrs/weekly

Office Assistant

The Office Assistant will work with the Office Manager to support the activities of the front office, provide satisfactory customer service and positive representation of CMASS.  They will engage in answering phones, directing visitors, maintaining calendar of events, assisting staff with various projects and upholding the mission and vision of CMASS.
