Over the last several months, Professor Felton has given a series of free public talks in the Springfield area. Most recently, on May 30, 2025, she spoke on “Fairy Tales in the Ancient Mediterranean World” at Springfield’s Claudio Concepcion Community Center, a talk she had previously presented at the Longmeadow Adult Center. Also at the Longmeadow Center, she spoke on “Cats in Ancient Greece and Rome” and “Ghost Stories from Ancient Greece and Rome.” Professor Felton has also participated in the Springfield Museums’ “Museums à la Carte” lecture series four times, including a talk on “Literary and Artistic Depictions of Witches in Ancient Greece and Rome” on Halloween 2024.
