Immediately after graduating, I worked with Ash Hartwell and CIE students Jacob Carter and Milka Ndura on the Global Citizens' Initiative which brought 13 leaders from around the world to Amherst for a 2-week course in Global Citizenship.
From 2013-2015, I worked in my home state of Wisconsin at the Social Development Commission in Milwaukee where I managed a federal Office of Refugee Resettlement program that trained refugees in financial literacy, business and entrepreneurship and assisted them to open home-based child care centers. I was also a grant writer for the agency for one year.
After that, I worked for a short time for the State of Wisconsin supporting administration of the refugee resettlement program for the state. I then moved to Washington D.C. to work with the business development team with Counterpart International, a non-profit that builds the capacity of civil society to advocate for change and work towards solutions in their communities.
In November of 2019 I joined the National Peace Corps Association as a Development Officer with resonsibility for supporting fundraising plans and strategies through donor stewardship, campaigns, grant writing, and special events. [1-20]
