Svetlana Pivovar Dimitrieva

After graduating from CIE in 2004, Svetlana Dmitriyeva went on to work at UNDP Ukraine doing M&E of projects in local communities affected by the Chernobyl catastrophe. Afterwards she transferred to the UN coordination office in Moscow where she prepared country programming products including the UN Development Assistance Frameworks and joint UN programs directed towards the Millennium Development Goals.


After the birth of her daughter Lada, Svetlana went back to ESL curriculum development, teaching and conducting cross-cultural trainings in Kiev, Ukraine. In 2008, family circumstances brought her to Barcelona, Spain where she became a research assistant at IESE Business School. "Writing business cases on strategic alliances was the most unusual yet enriching experience!" she comments. "Several cases were published and are currently in use in MBA programs across the globe."


In 2014, Svetlana moved to Charlottesville, VA with her husband Sergiy and three children Lada, Boris, and Igor. [1-17]
